Galactic Magnate is a turn-based multiplayer game based on somewhat revised rules of classic Monopoly and it is available free of charge from www.galacticmag.com. The game enables Monopoly fans from all over the world to meet, chat in chatrooms and play together. Players can also use the game�s online ranking system to find out how well they are doing, and to track their progress.
Galactic Magnate is based on Monopoly, but a few rules have been changed to deepen the strategy and minimize the impact of luck. To win the game, players must use their wits and employ strategic thinking. Although the game is extremely easy to learn, it can take a lifetime to master.
Though Galactic Magnate is an online game, it runs on Microsoft Windows operating systems, and requires a 2.1MB download. Kresimir Cosic, the developer of Galactic Magnate, is dedicated to continue improving the game, adding even more features in the future, and listening to suggestions posted by players on the Galactic Magnate forums."

Not long ago I mentioned that I loved lurking in chatrooms. While this doesn't seem to be a great way to interact, it was the only way I knew how to include myself in chatrooms. I. like many others, discovered the internet in the late 90's. It was one of the great discoveries of my lifetime. I could connect to all kinds of information (porn) that was never open to me before. Imagine my thrill to get a new computer with a 28.8 kps built-in modem and wait till the late night so I could log on to this jewel and not have to worry about missing a phone call. My first forray was via AOL. I guess you can call them training wheels, but it was really a very cool service. I was introduced to Slingo, instant news and music, IM's and chatrooms. Oh those chatrooms, that's when my innocence was lost.
I knew a few people on AOL from town but not alot of my friends had the internet back then. So the only way I could meet people was to blind IM them if I found their profile. This was so embarrasing and I only did it a few times before I realized I had better success meeting interesting people at the club or Wal-Mart at 2 in the morning. SO I ventured into chatrooms. I went into everyone I could fine and this provided so many hours of entertainment. There was no way you could take half of these people seriously, but they put on quite the show. I continued to wander until I met Lexi. She was so funny and flirtatious and we hit it off, then I saw her pic. She thought I found her profile first, which would have been correct normally, but it wasn't the case this time. After that first night I didn't see her for along time and then I traced her to a room called Gorgeous and Handsome. It sounded abit pretentious and it was but surprisingly I was welcomed. And once again I hit "
